This website is established to provide information about the ongoing efforts to establish a wastewater treatment facility for the Greater Woods Bay Area. It contains various general links, and links relevant to the detailed process of wastewater treatment facility planning, funding, construction, maintenance, and management. Additionally it contains updates and public meeting notes and presentations so that residents and property owners in the planning area will have the opportunity to follow the progress of the project. As the project moves on this website will change and comments from visitors are welcomed. Observations regarding any improvements that may enhance the value of the information presented, are most appreciated.

The Greater Woods Bay Sewer District is developing, in conjunction with a qualified engineering firm, a cost effective and efficient wastewater treatment system. This system will be designed to protect the water quality of the surrounding aquifer, the waters of Flathead Lake, the health and well-being of the people and property of the Greater Woods Bay area, from the first day of operations to well into the future.

The Bigfork Steering Committee is a non-profit, diverse assembly of community members who represent all neighborhoods within the Bigfork Land Use District. The Committee is dedicated exclusively to enhancing the beauty and uniqueness of Bigfork and it’s surroundings, specifically assisting in its orderly growth and economic development. In order to preserve the village atmosphere and small community environment, as well as improve the quality of life and general welfare of the community, this Committee is dedicated to orderly and planned growth. The purpose is to provide a public platform for input and information to achieve these purposes.
