This website is established to provide information about the ongoing efforts to establish a wastewater treatment facility for the Greater Woods Bay Area. It contains various general links, and links relevant to the detailed process of wastewater treatment facility planning, funding, construction, maintenance, and management. Additionally it contains updates and public meeting notes and presentations so that residents and property owners in the planning area will have the opportunity to follow the progress of the project. As the project moves on this website will change and comments form visitors are welcomed. Observations regarding any improvements that may enhance the value of the information presented, are most appreciated.

The Greater Woods Bay Sewer Committee is developing, in conjunction with a qualified engineering firm, a cost effective and efficient wastewater treatment system. This system will be designed to protect the water quality of the surrounding aquifer, the waters of Flathead Lake, the health and well-being of the people and property of the Greater Woods Bay area, from the first day of operations to well into the future. |

| The University of Montana Biological Station at Yellow Bay, Flathead Lake, Montana (FLBS). Founded in 1899, the Flathead Lake Biological Station (FLBS) was called the Sentinel of the Lake. Today, it performs vital studies, trains biologists from around the world, and monitors the health of the lake, to name just a few of the many missions it has. |

Bill Buxton of Morrison Maierle, Inc briefs 66 people at the 5th public meeting on 24 April 2008. This meeting discussed the funding options and estimated costs by phases of the project. Grant funding request are submitted on 2 May 2008.

On 14 March 2006, members of the Greater Woods Bay Sewer Committee
met in the Lake County Commissioners office in Polson for the hearing that
netted the resolution to conduct a mail ballot
election to form the
Greater Woods Bay Sewer District.
